I was born in Sweden in 1965, and moved to Australia by accident in my twenties. I lived for many years in the house I built, I also operated a bed and breakfast called Almond Hill from this house.
The house and business has since been sold, and new projects may well be in the offing. In 2003 I was awarded a DIY award by Better Homes and Gardens TV.
It appeared that people were interested in what I had done, and I wrote 'Built Like a Woman' as a result of that, thinking I might share my love and
enthusiasm for building. I made this website for those of you who wanted to know what the house actually looked like!
