I was born in Sweden in 1965, and moved to Australia by accident in my twenties. Currently, I live in the house I built in the beautiful Barossa Valley in Australia. In 2003 I was awarded a DIY award by Better Homes and Gardens TV. It appeared that people were interested in what I had done, and I wrote 'Built Like a Woman' as a result of that, thinking I might share my love and enthusiasm for building. I made this website for those of you who wanted to know what the house actually looked like!
